In 2011, Les Mills® launched its tenth group exercise program, CXWORX®, focusing on functional core training in an intense, 30-minute format.
CXWORX® opens a new chapter in the stunning success of Les Mills® programming across the globe. Sharpened to focus exclusively on the abs, gluteus and lower back muscles, this program stands alone as a crucial component of any Group Exercise schedule. CXWORX® appeals to Group Exercise die-hards looking for a new regimen to train the core, acts as a complement to weight/cardio exercise routines, and also attracts men and Personal Training fans that are peering around the precipice of Group Exercise, attracted by motivation, inspiration, and results.
Each class is sharpened down to 30-minutes of intensity, relentless in its approach, and scientifically structured to tighten and tone the core. These exercises isolate the greater core musculature with the most effective exercises choreographed to moving music, coupled with inspiring instruction. Class members depart armed with the knowledge to train the core safely and effectively.
Designed by Program Directors Dan Cohen and Susan Trainor, CXWORX® is appropriate for all fitness levels, but requires mental and physical determination. This class is designed to motivate participants to better understand the importance of the core to your greater physical health and posture.
From recent scientific research that emphatically addresses the core as a key component of physical health and injury prevention, CXWORX® was also designed to be a complement to Personal Training and a turnkey model to attract new participants to the Group Exercise studio.
